Located in the Kimberling Shopping Center. The Hillbilly Bowl was created by the Sherer Family from St. Louis, and, in 2012, will celebrate its Fiftieth Anniversary. The descendants of the Sherer Family still proudly own and operate the business – five generations down the line. The twelve lanes of the Bowl are just as they were created, fifty or more years ago. They are beautifully maintained and still have all the charm and ambiance they started with. The AMF pinsetters are carefully serviced and watched over by skilled bowling alley mechanics who dearly love the grand old machines. The authentic wooden lanes are professionally maintained and oiled by attendants well versed in all the proper and accepted procedures. The lanes are stripped, resurfaced and refinished by pros each and every year. Every needed and desired facility attendant to great bowling alleys are available to each customer. A ‘bowling pro’ is available to custom-fit, drill and service bowling balls. Rental shoes and balls are available in all sizes and weights.
The Hillbilly Bowl proudly hosts The Daisy May Women’s Tournament, a gathering of over 800 bowling ladies from all over the Midwest, who gather here each year to renew beloved old acquaintances and old bowling rivalries. The Daisy May Tournament has been held here each year for over 43 years and is the largest and longest running ladies’ tournament in the Midwest.
